This will remind you of the old school bakery muffins and cake slices that pretty much all of us grew up eating. Buttery, vanilla-y with a tender and fluffy texture (Early 2000, the curiously yellow colored vanilla muffins from Mongini's was my jam).
Here we use the best ingredients we can find. Organic wholewheat flour and a combination of brown sugar & multi floral honey gives this cake a deep toasty and slightly nutty flavour, while the addition of sour cream & housemade yogurt makes the texture ultra moist and fluffy. The sweetness, as always, is reigned in, so it can be enjoyed equally well with a cup of coffee or masala chai or a glass of milk. Also, a legit addition to school and office lunches.
