Our pet peeve with Christmas cakes has always been way too much fruit and too little cake batter so we decided to make our own version of this festive treat a few years back.

What you get is a good balance of alcohol soaked dried fruits with a beautifully fragrant & spiced cake batter wrapped around it.

The cake itself is ultra moist & perfumed with spices like ginger, cinnamon & orange. We use dried fruits like cranberries, prunes, raisins, candied orange peel along with toasted almonds + hazelnuts for extra flavour. They have been soaking for a better part of the year in alcohol and are delightfully tipsy. But the crowning glory is the orange caramel soak that the cake gets as soon as its out of the oven. We hope you like it as much as we do!
